Wahine Wear+ Modern Athletic Inspiration

I'm Kristen, I have always been passionate about creating/crafting/sewing and am self taught. As a teen I was diagnosed with PCOS and gained a large amount of weight in a short time and started having low self esteem, stopped playing sports etc.

Fast forward to my early to mid-20's when I found out I had ovarian cancer and that I wouldn't have children. I was surprised and blessed to become pregnant and have a miracle

baby, and since then my world has changed. I knew I had to become a stronger better version of myself for her. That's when I was introduced to the fitness world and started working with fitness coaches and met girls competing in NPC and IFBB shows.

That's what initially got me interested in starting to sew competition suits! It rolled into my love for the island life and everything that surrounds it. Fitness and health that gives women the confidence to feel great in a bikini at any size or stage in their journey.

Making suits for other amazing women helps keep me inspired and motivated everyday to keep on my fitness journey even when I fall and have to get back up.

I just recently started Wahine Wear this year in 2015 and offer custom color spray tanning as well. Wahine Wear is currently all handmade by me and are small batch swimwear collections and custom bikinis.
