Design: If you’re new to the SHEATH brand then there’s a few things we have to tell you first. SHEATH underwear’s patent pending dual pouch design is unlike any underwear you have ever tried on before. All of SHEATH’s menswear comes with two areas on the inside—for your manhood obviously. The Base Layer Top:
So, let’s start at the top and work our way down, shall we? The full-length Base Layer top is a long-sleeve modal/spandex blend made with the exact same material that the other SHEATH products are made with. The moisture wicking material is cool and breathable, yet provides a snug and form fitting feel that resembles a pajama combo. The shirts run fairly true to size and are long/snug enough that you don’t have to worry about constant readjustment but also flowy enough that you won’t feel like you’re wearing a compression top. It is the perfect long sleeve top to wear alone on a cool spring or fall morning, yet heavy enough to be the perfect base layer underneath a sweatshirt or jacket in harsh conditions. The sleeves also include a cuffed end and circular-seamed thumb holes which make it comfortable and easy to wear under or over other articles of clothing.
Our thoughts?
One of the most comfortable long sleeve shirts we have ever owned. If you workout outside, go for morning runs, or maybe take part in morning or evening hunting sessions, you know how difficult it can be to stay warm but also stay comfortable during your routine. SHEATH’s Base Layer Top is the PERFECT piece of clothing to fit your needs. Although it is super comfortable in the gym, you’ll find us living in it when working around the house or catching a movie on the couch before bed. It’s seriously that cozy.
The Base Layer Bottom:
The Sheath Base layer full-length bottom, much like the top, is again made with that comfortable modal/spandex blend. The fit is much like a compression legging, without as tight of compression. Think of it as the warmth of long underwear, with the breathability of compression leggings, with the movability of, well, feeling like you’re wearing nothing! The Dual Pouch design is perfectly placed for your anatomical pleasure and the length of the bottoms cuts off right at the ankle. The bottoms also fit true to size so when ordering make sure to select the size your normally would for underwear or compression leggings.
Our Thoughts?
It is everything as advertised. The Base Layer bottoms are again, perfect to workout with but also perfect if you’re just lounging around the house. SHEATH’s underwear and base layers encompass what every man should want out of their underwear; breathability, movability, light, and supportive. The lengths fit us perfectly and did run true to size. The “Zen Pouch” as they call it is placed perfectly and allows you to run, jump, squat, and bend without “falling out” or needing to readjust. The ankle area is cuffed and ensures a snug fit without worrying about it pressing into your skin and leaving a line. The seams and stitching are extra smooth and there is no rubbing or uncomfortable scratching along the insides.
