I love mint...any time of the year. I especially love it during the holiday season! It seems so festive! It's only fair to jazz up my protein shake as well, no?! So, in addition to refueling my body post workout (or whenever), I'm satisfying my sweet chocolate-y treat cravings! I know it's a few extra steps beyond pouring your protein powder into a shaker bottle with water.. But it's a must for this decadent treat! This is very filling, filled with yummy fats & protein..so you'll certainly feel complete.
1/2 cup coconut milk (canned full fat)
1/2 cup water
1 packet or scoop chocolate protein powder (I LOVE Reserveage Grassfed Whey, or 365 Brand Vegan Protein)
2 tbsp 100% cocoa powder
3-4 dates that were soaked in water to soften (or a tbsp of raw honey to taste!)
1/2 cup ice, optional (adds frostiness)
1 tsp peppermint extract
Add all ingredients to your high powder blender & blend until smooth! Add more milk if it's too thick! (I prefer milkshake consistency...a girl can dream!!) Enjoy!
