This is one of the newest preworkouts to hit the market. One of the first things you’ll notice about this product is that it doesn’t have any stimulants. That makes it a great option to those who are caffeine averse.
Fruit punch: I wanted to play it safe. It was great and I’ve read that people really like the other flavor – cranberry grape. I liked that it was not too chalky or synthetic tasting.
Mixability: Mixed well in a shaker. No clumping or grit.
Effectiveness: One of the things that drew me to this product was the dosing of ingredients. I’ve tried a number of preworkouts, but none dosed this high (6 grams) in citrulline malate. This supplement has been shown to improve fatigue resistance and decrease DOMS among other things. For those of you who take creatine, it also has 3 grams of creatine monohydrate. This is one of the most beneficial supplements for performance. Increases in strength and energy have been shown repeatedly. It also has the normal ingredients, such as: carnitiand alpha-GPC. Some of the newer ingredients you won’t see in other preworkouts are: betaine, astragalus membranacus, and cocoa powder. You’ll also notice the cognitive enhancer - Huperzine A.
Cost: Expensive - $35 per tub. 20 servings.
This isn’t the cheapest preworkout by any means. However, I do think it’s worth it. I also think it’s going to be one of the top supplements soon, especially since Jim Stoppani’s preworkout has done so well. People are always asking for evidence that something works. This supplement is chock-full of proven ingredients and tastes great.
